Whether you are drawn to yoga for its physical benefits, to relieve stress or calm the mind, you will benefit in countless ways and find that the practice of hatha yoga is truly transformative! This is true regardless of what type of yoga or how many days a week you practice although you will find the more that you practice the deeper and more profound the changes in your physical and emotional being you will experience!

Where Do I Start?
Starting a yoga practice can be a little daunting and intimidating for many of us. The important thing to keep in mind is that there is a yoga class for every body at every age. That includes those of us who think we are highly inflexible, out of shape or weak muscled. If you are just beginning a yoga practice, we highly recommend that you start with the Introduction to Yoga class that covers the basic yoga postures. Once you feel comfortable with the basic postures, we recommend that you try any of the Level 1 classes 1-3 times per week. Try to arrive 10 to 15 minutes before your first class to tour the facility and complete a New Student Information Form, which will help our instructors understand your experience and offer options for any problem areas. Choose a time that is convenient for you and make yoga a regular part of your life! All of our instructors have formal training and a comprehensive knowledge of yoga; though teaching styles vary just as personalities do. We encourage you to experience a variety of classes and teachers to find the one that best suits you. |
